There is a battle in your mind and if you do not get proper perspective and understanding you will be defeated before you begin. This post should help you gain the knowledge needed to put into action some needed steps to guide you on your successful prospecting journey.

PURPOSE

There are simple steps that you can utilize that can give you the results in your MLM prospecting that you desire. First before I go into those steps you must understand that you are a winner. Your success starts with your thoughts of you on this journey. I believe that you can control your outcome through how you think. These techniques if implemented will help you create a breakthrough in your MLM prospecting and perhaps even other areas of your life.

The Most Important Aspect of MLM Prospecting

One of the most important facets of prospecting is your numbers. The major difference between those who sponsor a lot of people and those who do not are the number of people they really talk to and share their opportunity with. Another major facet to prospecting is your posture. In this business your posture can make or break you. If you are not credible people will not want to hear what you have to say. I will share with you some principles that can help you with your mindset on prospecting.

5 Ways to Get You Thinking Like a Winner

Your successful prospecting starts with you thinking like a winner. Below are some principles that I learned during my many years as an athlete. One of the things that I realized is my success was primarily due to how differently I thought from others. My mindset has carried over into my personal life, spiritual life, work life and it is this mindset that has separated me from some of my counterparts. These principles are elements that no matter where you are in life can help propel you to where you want to be whether you are in the locker room, office, home, homeless shelter, classroom, hospital. No matter who you are or where you are if you begin implementing these principles you will see a difference for the positive in your life.

EXPECTATION – A person who is a winner is first a winner in their mind. They believe that they are a winner before the title actually is theirs. When you see a champion they will walk in their environment with an EXPECTATION to win. Losing does not ever enter their minds because truthfully they believe it is impossible for that to happen to them even if it does. A winner’s expectation is so great they are surprised when they do not win. Their expectation is that of Success. Their talk is positive, their beliefs are positive and these actions lead to positive outcomes. But remember you have control over whether you are a Champion or a winner because you do have control over your mind. First, start with your mind, then win in your own heart and then that expectation will transfer to others.

CELEBRATE – One thing that I did as an athlete was I celebrated the small wins. When you celebrate the small wins you begin to build upon that to create momentum. This momentum gives you the confidence to see yourself winning in a big way. When I trained to get stronger I started out with a small amount of weight and kept adding on to that weight until I was pumping massive amounts of weight. Just like I had to build little by little when you win big that big success only happens through the buildup of those many small victories that you have amassed. As a winner you cannot become content. You need to celebrate and reinforce your accomplishments, but these wins should influence you to work that much harder which should give you the confidence to practice more and believe that you can accomplish much greater things.

NO EXCUSES – One of the differences in a winner and a loser is their character. Winners may lose on occasion but what they will not do is dedicate their time to passing fault to others. They are responsible and will take the onus upon themselves because they understand that they can take that accountability to focus their energies to do better. A winner’s mistakes and defeats are just opportunities for them to grow. These opportunities allows a winner to grow stronger, better and wiser.

OPPORTUNITIES – A winner’s mentality is that of gratitude. They view their lives as a gift from God and they approach their lives as such. They do not feel that life is an obligation and because of thinking this way they are aware that if they want something to happen they have to be completely committed to the process. Beyond a winner’s commitment to the process they tend to do something better than any other that I have seen they appreciate the process no matter what. Think of an athlete and the type of physical commitment that must go into becoming great. Do they enjoy the long hours, the hurt bodies, the sacrifice, of course not, but because they have a determination and a driven attitude those elements help them develop their skill to a level that does not compare to the average individual.

BELIEF – A winner has great faith. It does not mean that they are not fearful, but what it means is that their faith is greater than their fear. A winner has such positive energy that they can shatter any negativity that comes their way. A winner believes in oneself totally without doubt. They are sure and confident in their ability to perform a given task. A winner has passion and their lives are purposeful. A winner makes it seem as if they do not have challenges, in fact a winner probably encounters more challenges because they feel that there is nothing that they cannot do. The bible tells me that I can do ALL things through Christ because He gives me strength to do them. A winner believes the best is yet to come no matter what situations they have had to deal with.

SUCCESS

My wife tells me all the time that I have a mind of a Champion and a Conqueror. I do not take those complements for granted because I realize the mindset that I possess is what God has shaped and molded in me. If you think that your business is not where it should be or you cannot prospect the right people, you cannot prospect enough people, you cannot prospect, well think again.
