Why build locally?

With the growth that many are receiving growing their MLM businesses on the internet, it should not be the only way that you do so. Why should you build locally should not even be a question in your mind, especially if you really have total buy-in into the company that you represent and its products and services. The question seems a little weird to ask because in believing and trusting in systems one of the things that you purchased in your MLM business is a great training system. Most if not all MLM businesses teach their representatives how to grow offline first, meaning at home.

Therefore, in following the system that has been laid out for you, it is much easier to duplicate your efforts and achieve quick growth and momentum offline than it is to teach someone to use the internet. I want you to know that I believe in online growth, online training, on-line business. The internet is an incredible tool to implement when growing your business and with all the things that technology has to offer it would be a little foolish to not use it somehow. With that being said using the internet should never prevent you from doing local meetings or building your business on a local basis. The internet is meant to be a complement and an addition to what your MLM business system teaches.

First Things First

The first thing toward building locally is you must want to build locally. You have to have a desire to do so. You may not realize that if you build locally and you sponsor people who have others that are out of town. When those out-of-towners ask what did you do to sponsor and you tell them I put my initial focus on building locally. That is exactly what they are going to duplicate because it worked for you and they can quickly see the power and control that they can have over what is around them.

There are other great benefits to building locally and one of them is that you can build great relationships and great networks because you know people in your area. You can begin branding yourself and build a great name for yourself in your area. If you do not have a local team and you are the first of its kind (so to speak) this is GREAT. This is the best time to let people know about your company. Start those home meetings, get on that phone and begin to prospect new people. This allows you to introduce yourself to those that are not familiar with you if you have been in other network marketing companies and have exhausted those individuals as leads. Get new ones. But build your team locally. Look at it this way, if you are building in your area at some point you will hit the breaking point where the meetings will continue without you. One of the goals you should have for yourself is to have fires all over the world in order to be a top earner. The goal is to get local communities building and growing all over the world and it begins with a singles step of growing your local area.

MLM Guidelines to Build That Local Team

1. START NOW. All local teams started with a single individual in an area. When this happens it could not be a more perfect time to build which is RIGHT NOW.

2. DO NOT STOP--KEEP GOING. Even if you have done home meeting after home meeting, appointment after appointment to no avail and NO SHOWS seem to be your theme. Just keep going because a breakthrough is just around the corner.

3. MEET NEW PEOPLE. You may have been in every MLM that was ever started and have gone to every friend and family member talking to them about each and every one of those opportunities. If this is the case, go develop a cold market list. Go and meet new people, attend networking events, look outside of your original circle.
