THREE KEYS TO UNSHAKABLE CONFIDENCE IN 2015

Have you ever felt frustrated about whether you could become successful 2015? Are you lacking assurance of your ability to earn a living with your network marketing business? Have you been overwhelmed about whether you are growing your business by yourself? Are you feeling stuck in a rut with your confidence level? Well, I want to talk to you today about how you can grow your faith and confidence in your network marketing business this year. Your next 12 months can be incredible.

There is this misnomer that successful people are automatically confident. I do not believe that, in fact I believe that many of us deal with and have dealt with insecurity and confidence issue from time to time in our careers. You may not believe this but I have. There was a period of time in my life and career that I was fearful if I was going to succeed. Even though my ambition and drive pushed me past some of those fears and insecurities, I still had to deal with them.

One of the things that I find fascinating is the number of millionaires in this business who struggle with confidence from time to time. There are those who are insecure and still need a pat on the back from time to time and that is because one’s income does not necessarily create confidence in you. Do not get me wrong, being financially successful helps but it may not be to sole thing that gets you to become completely confident. Over the course of my career I have found that there are three major elements which helped me not only build confidence but kept me confident.

1. UNDERSTANDING

It is vitally important for you to know what you are doing and the only way to do that is to get understanding about your product or service, the industry and business. You will need to gain knowledge and understanding about the value of the product or service. You will need to understand geometric growth and the ability to create leverage, the value of the relationships that you are going to develop and how much you are going to personally develop over the course of your network marketing career and how many lives you are going to touch and change. Once you understand the aforementioned elements amongst others it will become easier for you to get a sense of confidence and pride. Your posture will change and so will the growth of your business. My wife and I purchased a vehicle that we were not necessarily going to buy, but the salesman was so knowledgeable about the product and the vehicle satisfied all of our needs and some. The salesman understood our needs and because he was astute he was able to land a sale. A professional is impressive because of their wealth of knowledge and understanding. So, it is important for you to read posts like this one, read industry books, patch into videos, dvds, webinars, etc. that will help you gain more knowledge and will allow you to develop your level of understanding. This blog post and posts like these and programs are created to help you boost your confidence and allow you to continue to grow it.

2. SKILLS

Skillsets are highly underrated sometimes in network marketing because I believe we many times act as if this industry or if you will business model has a two on it and not in a good way. The reason that I spend so much time and energy talking and writing about skill development is because this is the doorway to opportunities of success and confidence. Think about it if you had a doctor wouldn’t you want him to have a high level of skillsets in his profession. What about an attorney? What about a hairstylist, massage therapist, teacher? Any profession that you name you would want them to have the necessary skills to carry out their task well. Furthermore you would not expect that they could if they did not have the training and application of that training to be good at what they say they are a professional in. That is the very definition of a professional, one who is skilled at his or her craft. I know I keep saying skills this, skills that, but anything that you ever became good at and was confident in was due to your skills that you developed. If you can cook well, sew, if you were an athlete, whatever you became good in these areas because of your skills. You were not confident because you had a good attitude. You became confident because you had developed the skills necessary to make you unshakable and unmovable. You knew what you knew and no one could tell you differently because the proof as they say was in the pudding. You could back up your confidence with your actions which were in direct proportion to your skills. You could never be persuaded from your confidence because your skills had already built that confidence for you.

3. MINDSET

Your internal programming will affect your confidence. Some of you have been told your whole life you are nothing or you have even told yourself that you are nothing. Maybe someone said to you that you will never succeed, you are a failure, you are too old, too fat, a woman, wrong color and you bought the hype and bought into that lie of a story and it affected your confidence and self-esteem. Some of you have been told you are only a high school graduate what are you doing trying to own your own business you just stay in your place. It is one thing for people to tell the story it is all together a different thing when you buy into it. Some of the things that have been programmed into your mind are deeply rooted. You will have to fight against years of deep scarring. But it can be done if you really want to change your thinking. What you say directly impacts what you think and your outcome. Start feeding yourself good things. I tell myself all the time I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength. I am prosperous. I am successful. Once you get those little taglines of your own and say them all the time even when things are looking bleak you will see that your outcome will be what you have been saying. Your programming will impact your ability to have great posture, to be bold and strong. So when you are attempting to alter your programming one of the things that you have to be is aware of lies that you have been told and bought into. It is a must that you guard your mind from the negative. So I want you to make a commitment to yourself to guard your mind from everything negative. Don’t look at anything negative, read anything negative, hang around people who are negative. Stay away from possible messages that are negative. Protect your mind. Conversely feed it good ideas all the time to reprogram that part of your internal programming that has held you back from where you should be.

As I mentioned earlier your skill is the doorway to developing confidence and it is really simple. It is as simple as you making a decision right now. It is not this big hard complicated thing that you cannot get past. Your programming is keeping you fearful from making a decision and moving toward your future of being completely confident in succeeding. Learning how to find prospects is just a decision and does not take a lot of tutelage where you have to go to school and earn a degree or certification. Learning how to invite a prospect is a decision and not a huge skillset where you have to train for years to acquire. Learning how to follow-up is a decision, learning how to close is a decision, learning how to get people started is a decision, learning how to promote for events is a decision. None of these things are hard but some of you do not act on them because you are not confident and you are not confident because of the programming in your mind that leads to your skills never being developed. So work on your understanding, skills, and mindset this year and face those fears, build that confidence. You can do this. You can have Purpose Directed Success today!
