THE HARD TRUTH ABOUT RESIDUAL INCOME

Have you ever felt frustrated with whether your up line was telling you the truth about how to earn an actual residual income? Do you experience a sense of lack of knowledge regarding the inner workings of your network marketing business? Are you overwhelmed with feeling as though you do not have enough information to properly build your business and develop residual income for yourself? Have you felt stuck in a mindset that seems unrealistic as to how to develop residual income? Well, I am going to tell you the truth about how to make residual income? It is my job to help you to have proper expectations. Once you have reasonable expectations about your business you will begin to see clarity for the mission of developing real residual income.

Just Get Two!

Have you heard or were you told all you have to do is just get two and you teach those two to get two and so forth and so on. I have attended many network marketing meetings where the audience would be asked whether they knew two people that might want to make some good long-term part-time money and everyone would raise their hand. At which time the presenter would paint a perfect picture that if they just got two, then helped their two get two, and this continues they could earn a six-figure income and all would be great with the world! The truth is somewhere not there. When you are developing true residual income you have to really think logically. Do not get me wrong is the aforementioned scenario possible, of course it is. It is definitely POSSIBLE that you only recruit two people and you stop and your empire is built. Now most network marketing compensation plans build in contingency’s that require a little more effort to be expended such as you get a few more people. However, to answer the question whether it is possible to create residual income, yes it is possible but not plausible that way. Particularly, if you expect to recruit two people with the expectation that they will do the same level of work which is the LEAST amount of work possible by recruiting two themselves, what you are doing is a great disservice to you and them.

Just Another Biz Owner but with Leverage

Network marketing is a powerful business model but it is not a magical one. It is extremely rare for a person to start a network marketing business and treat their business like a hobby to actually create an incredible business, which is no different from any other traditional small business owner to create an empire with the same mindset and habits. The difference between network marketing and any other traditional business is leverage. It you really look at other income or career models, you will find the chance of creating residual income is roughly zero.

A Dose of Reality

You are told just get two and those two will get two. Is that possible, sure. Is it likely, not. It is more likely that in order for you to build a large residual income you are going to have to recruit, recruit, recruit, recruit which is no different from someone owning a car dealership, or restaurant. They have to continue to sell cars or continue to serve customers in order to make money. They just do not have two customers and rely on those two to tell two more and the word continues and everyone does exactly what they are asked to do precisely. Here is the proper mindset to adopt. If you have someone who is not very supportive about network marketing all you have to do is ask them to look at their options and the alternatives. They could continue to stay on their jobs, never having the ability to ever develop residual income, or maybe they own a company and have no time or have a business that is just small enough to place them in a position of being just a glorified employee with more responsibility and less pay. The alternative is never having the option to create freedom which is the alternative for most people. Of course, this scenario is not for all because there are some who purchase a franchise or real estate and earn a great income and create freedom. But, for most people their available options are working a job never to earn residual income or build network marketing and create financial freedom.

The problem is the person with the aforementioned choices will criticize the network marketing choice yet their other choice is not going to give them the options that they seek. The next question is will you have to keep recruiting. The hard core truthful answer is YES. If you rely on just recruiting two, or four, or whatever the small number is you are a little confused about business. Business does not work that way. You cannot just do one thing and it produces over and over for you unless you invent something and even then you have to market it and get it out to the consumer. So the bottom line is one time efforts are not realistic. Also, you have to remember that most people quit what they start. That is why you have a small percentage of the haves and a large percentage of the have nots. If you know that most people will quit what they start, that means that you will need to stay in acquisition mode for the success of your business. If you own a pizza shop will you have to continue selling pizzas, yes? But the power of network marketing is that you can use something call leverage.

There are no guarantees that everyone that you introduce to the business will run with the business. And because of that you need plan on 100 percent of your income coming from 100 percent of your own efforts at least in your first year of network marketing which I would say that is a pretty safe bet. What if you just made up your mind that no matter who comes into the business that you recruit, you will continue to stay in acquisition mode? I do want to inform you that there are many individuals in network marketing who only recruited a small number of people who continually earn a large income but these individuals worked really hard for years until this took place. My advice to you is to understand and embrace the reality of your business and the truth about residual income. The question is will you have to continue to recruit people? The answer is a resounding, YES. Will you have to continue working that job, probably? Will you create residual income from that job, probably not? You have to remember that there is power in knowledge. The knowledge and truth that you just gained should give you zeal to run with your business.
