DO NOT SETTLE FOR LESS!

Have you been frustrated by having the type of faith that neutralizes your dreams? Do you get overwhelmed with feeling as if your efforts are not enough while looking around you and it seems like everyone else is prospering quickly? Do you lack the tenacity to develop a radical and far-reaching faith to succeed? Have you ever felt stagnant while doing everything you know to do and no matter how much you pray, beg, fast, and plead there seems to be no true momentum that you are making? Well, in business and anything else it takes more than hoping that you will be successful there is a true action that you have to perform that will bring continual, long-lasting, abundant success in your life.

BUSY PEOPLE

One thing that I can tell you is that in my years of experience the only people that seem to benefit and become successful are those that are busy. They are actively involved in making success happen. Even in the Bible when Jesus called the disciples they were not just sitting down watching television (SMILE). He found them doing something meaningful and fruitful with their lives, which is why blessings came their way. If you notice wherever you go who are the people who receive promotions? Who are the people that receive a new house? Who are the people that go on lots of vacations? They are the people who are moving.

It often makes me smile when I think about the story in the bible of Abraham and Sarah. Here is a man 100 years old and a woman 90 who have been promised a son. This is a stretch for anyone to believe even then. And not only that, God tells them that there are Kings and Nations inside of her. Do you know that applies to you? Although when you look around, your business may not be earning you a lot of money. You may not even have sponsored a ton of people but what you have inside of you is a huge, successful business. No matter what you see around you it does not negate what is possible for you to accomplish. There is success inside of you that will come out of YOU not someone else but YOU.

Your past may not reflect such success and because of your past experiences it is a little difficult for you to see yourself having a business earning $100,000 a year or more it is true you can. Even when you look at your circle of influence maybe they are not doing well either. Maybe they do not own their own businesses or live a lifestyle commensurate with someone who earns $100,000. Guess what it does not matter. You may be saying that it is hard for me to believe what I do not see, but what we tend to do is negotiate with possibility. We will tell ourselves no there is no way that it is me that this is going to happen to there must be someone else that this is meant for. These are the arguments we will have with ourselves when success is immenate. The reason we have these arguments with ourselves is because the blessing that is waiting for us is one that we have never experienced or seen before it is that BIG! Yeah I said that!

MISUNDERSTANDINGS

The Bible tells me in Hebrews 11:1 that Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Well, you do not have to be a bible toter to know that when we set out to succeed in anything we have to have faith and hope in what it is we desire to accomplish. But I have been taught that Faith is the more important than Hope but it is the opposite. The reason why I say that is, if you do not have hope then there is nothing for faith to attach itself to. A true determining factor of whether your hope is great is you are hungry. But many people in MLM businesses are lazy and inconsistent. They will stop going to conferences or never start going, they will not be on the training calls, attend meetings, make a prospecting list, call the people on the list, not do 3-way calls, you know the gamut. These behaviors are a tell-tale sign that these individuals are not hungry. When you are not plugged into the system there is no way that your faith can grow in order for you to stay the course. My bible also tells me that faith comes by hearing the Word of God. In this case your faith will develop as you hear from those more experienced, if you hear how to close a prospect, if you hear how to go into your back office, if you hear others experiences. You have to know that there is no growth for those who do not have a hunger for success. When you are hungry you will feed your faith, you will do what you are told and what is necessary for you to keep that hope alive.If you are just going through the motions and your life is all routine you probably are not paying attention to what is being written even today. The individuals who are listening and paying close attention are those of you who are fighting. You are the ones who are trying to get out of a circumstance, the ones that are trying to change a situation and get your lives together. These are the individuals who when they are given a Fast start packet read it from cover to cover. These are the individuals who are on every call and have a person at every meeting. These are the people who are calling their sponsor and their sponsor’s sponsor asking questions. They are truly HUNGRY. When you see these people at a conference they are not there to socialize. They are there to feed their faith. They are there to get as much information as humanly possible so that it empowers them to achieve success.

I CAUGHT A BIG FISH

When I look at the word hope I think of it this way, I think of it as an expected end because when I accomplish my goal this is where I hope I am. You may not realize but I am a believer in Purpose Directed Success. I believe that in business you need to have direction so having hope is right in line with what I teach. Hope is a destination not a process it is where you end up, but it is a broad outlook. For instance I hoped for a global MLM business and my faith is that my business will be global. Well, my hope is for the MLM business and if my business is regional and not global it does not mean that my hope is gone. However, growing an MLM business is much like fishing. When you fish you will cast your line out in hopes of a catch. Your catch bites your line and he pulls and you pull but the thing is your hope in catching a big fish has to be greater. You have to get to the point that your resolve is you are going to be caught it is just a matter of when and how. I might have to get some help, I might have to grab a net but guess what big fish you are going to be caught. This is what you need to tell your business. You are going to grow big, it might not be today, I might not do it by myself, I might need someone to hold my hand almost the entire time, I might be told “NO” 1,000 times in one day, I might not be able to show a presentation today, but business you are going to grow and you are going to grow BIG. You need to tell that fish I will not come back empty handed. I did not save my money or pull money from my house note to buy this MLM franchise for nothing. You will produce, if I have to call everyone in the white pages I am going to show a presentation. I will sign somebody.

I WILL NOT SETTLE!

My wife and I went to court one time and we knew that we were in the right. Our attorney told us that it would probably cost us a lot more to litigate the case but he would see if the other party would settle. Our response to him was “we will not settle”. This is reminiscent to what we do in our lives and our businesses we settle for less. We settle for making one call a week, we settle with attending one conference every two years, we settle reading a book once a year. We settle. There are individuals who feel that now I am 40 years old and my life is over. I have been in business 6 months and I have not earned $10,000 yet. People tend to stop swinging; they pick out their caskets before its time. Maybe I have to change my strategy, maybe I have to alter the number of calls I make or redo my list all together. I may have to change bait, rod, reel and boat but in the end I will tell that fish you are going to get on the boat. It does not matter the cost, I will grow a big MLM business. You want to be around and run with those who will not settle for anything less than what God has for their lives. NEVER be satisfied with something that you should be encouraged by. Your job is when it is all said and done that you leave a legacy. You leave a thriving business; you leave something that tells the world you had something to offer and that you were successful.
