“NO” IS YOUR FRIEND

Are you frustrated with receiving “NO’s” from what it seems like everyone you meet? Do you lack courage to have someone say “NO” to you and you not take it personally? Have you been overwhelmed by recruiting yet you seem to keep getting only “NO’s”? Are you stuck in the “NO” zone and do not seem to be able to get out and enter the “YES” zone? You may not believe this but I want you to be encouraged that having someone tell you “NO” is your friend in building a SUCCESSFUL Network Marketing business. I know you are wondering how this is possible when your business is built on the number of effective recruits that you have.

Trust me, I realize that the word “YES” has a great sound to it and it is music to your ears. The word YES helps motivate and push you toward your goals. However, we have that nasty word “NO” that is in complete contrast. It debilitates a person and causes individuals to remain stagnant and give up on themselves and their dreams. Here is the beauty of this post, the word “NO” does not have to destroy you, it can actually empower you and change your life for the good forever.

VIDEO: How to view a "NO"

Think about this for just a moment, what if you could recruit the number of people that you set out to, reach every pin level, receive every bonus and achieve all of your personal goals…simply by developing a new mindset in regards to the word “NO”? I have often talked about the importance of developing your mindset. Therefore, the way in which you perceive the word “NO” can be changed just through the way in which you think about it.

The Simple Truth

Do you realize that your connection or bond with that two letter word “NO”… the feelings that are conjured when you hear it, your thoughts behind hearing it, and the effect it has in the end … is THE greatest reason that will influence how successful you will be in your network marketing business and in your life. No matter what your product is, service or your opportunity many individuals will not succeed in business because they have not overcome how to handle that little two letter word and put it into proper perspective.

What I find intriguing is as children our parents train us that “NO” is a vital part of growing up because we do not always get what we want when we want it. “NO” is necessary to the balance of our development. As a child we would receive “NO” and saw it as no big deal. But during our growing process we began to accept the word “NO” as kryptonite against our natural way of being persistent and tenacious and allowed it to completely take over our lives.

A New Day, A New Life, A New Beginning

I am going to show you how to have the word “NO” stop stopping you today. I will show you how to redevelop that tenacious spirit that you once had. I will also show you how to take the word “NO” and make you STRONGER, MORE POWERFUL, MORE RESILIENT, MORE PERSISTENT AND CONSISTENT in the end MORE SUCCESSFUL. All of this can be accomplished with a simple change in your attitude and perspective. One of the more effective books and series that have helped me to do this is “GO FOR NO” by Richard Fenton and Andrea Waltz. You will find yourself transformed into an individual who was once beaten down because of the constant rejections and failures that you received into an individual who sees themselves earning more money than you thought that they would have earn, buying things that you thought you could never afford, traveling places that you thought you would only see in an advertisements and becoming the individual you always wanted to be.

Why it Works

The reason I recommend reading “Go For No” or getting the video or DVDS is it helps (1) maintain the guidelines of there is safety in numbers and (2) changes your mindset about the word “NO” and teaches you to put it into proper perspective.

Many times we are so frightened of someone saying “NO” to us that we become paralyzed. What happens in these instances is that your view of what others think of you far outweighs what you are actually trying to accomplish. When we care more about what others think of us we lose sight of what prompted us to get into our business and what we wanted to accomplish in helping others. GO FOR NO helps us develop a true understanding about who we are and what we bring to the table. It helps us understand the value that we are contributing to society and those that understand this and receive the most “NO’s are the ones who have effected change more.

The Hank Aaron Story

If you are a baseball fan then I do not need to tell you who Hank Aaron is. But if you are not and do not know who he is Hank Aaron was one of the greatest baseball players that ever lived. He also held the title of homerun King as well as Strikeout King at the same time--what irony. How does Hank Aaron relate to Go For No.? One thing that baseball players who have made the all-time homerun list have in common is that they also made the strike out list because they are at bat more than any others. They have to swing more in order to hit more homeruns.

You are in the same predicament. In order for you to receive the “YES” which is your homerun you MUST receive more “NO’S” than anyone else. I often say no guts no glory. But what I quickly realize about my situation especially coming from being dead broke and NEEDING to get out of that situation. I begin to develop a level of gratitude toward my circumstances because it fueled me to change and alter my destiny.

We are told that network marketing is a numbers game and GO FOR NO is a book that focuses on the power of numbers just in a different way. The book goes into how your numbers add up or your “NO’s” add up in this instance. You begin to learn to shift your focus from being afraid of someone turning you down or rejecting you to embracing and accepting the “NO” as part of the inevitable process that will help you break through your barrier.

How to Use Go For No

I used GO FOR NO by setting a goal such as obtaining 15 NO’s a day. I mean actual NO’s. Leaving a voice mail, or receiving a no call back that is NOT a “NO.” What IS a “NO” is someone telling you that they are not interested after you have talked to them or showed them your presentation. Once you have committed to receiving the number of “NO’s” during a daily period you need to set a goal for how long you will commit to receiving them. It can be for a 30 day period of time, 60 days or 90 days. Whatever you commit to it is IMPERATIVE that you are CONSISTENT. This is the key to it all. You cannot commit to receiving 15 “NO’s” daily and you get some on Monday and Friday only. That is NOT consistency. I cannot stress to you the importance of CONSISTENCY when implementing this strategy. Just like anything you want to accomplish, consistency is what helps yield successful results. If you were going to lose weight you would only be successful if you were consistently watching what you ate or consistently working out. My wife and children were taking a Spanish class and the instructor told them that they could become bilingual but the key to it all was their consistency.

What happens is just like a train gets started it may start out slowly but once you get it going you are moving with full force and intensity. What I mean by that is you may not recruit anyone maybe in the first few weeks but you reach a breaking point. The breaking point is the ending of the “NO” streak and then all of a sudden you recruit four people one day, 6 people the next, four the next and so forth and so on and that is when the levee breaks and your business changes and success creeps in. Practicing receiving as many “NO’s” as possible is experienced by the top performers and this is your invitation to do what they do to receive the success similar to what they have received.
