ARE MLM HOME MEETINGS OUTDATED?

Does it frustrate you that many successful gurus are telling you to build your business solely online, yet your up-line is telling you home meetings are how the business is built? Do you lack the number of individuals to invite on an on-going basis? Does it overwhelm you to find people to invite to your meeting every single week? Are you stuck in deciding which model works best online or offline?

WHY SHOUILD I DO A HOME MEETING?

Throughout my network marketing career I not only have conducted but attended 100’s of home meetings. When I first began with network marketing I would attend or host a meeting every single week. It had gotten to the point that I didn’t want to see another white board or draw anymore circles. But after 20 years of network marketing I realized that the reason home meetings are vitally important to your up-line is that they are the lifeblood of network marketing.

Home meetings have served and continue to serve as a network marketer’s major component for acquiring new representatives. However, today’s new generation of building network marketing companies has shifted to the internet because of its appeal toward our technologically driven society. But the real truth is that most extremely large organizations that have been built were not dependent upon the internet alone.

FOUR REASONS YOU SHOULD DO A HOME MEETING

1. FACE-TO-FACE MEETINGS ARE IMPORTANT. The direction that society is headed particularly with the insurgence and developments within technology, we want less to do with face-to-face interaction i.e. texting, automated phone calls, etc. Face-to-face interaction is becoming less attractive, yet network marketing is about people and relationships. Face-to-face meetings have had a great impact on my life. What a face-to-face or home meeting will do is allow individuals to speak and interact with one another and there is real POWER in that. Many individuals are having a hard time deciphering through the minutia of the internet so talking with someone face-to-face at a home meeting can do wonders for your business.

2. WE ARE IN THIS THING TOGETHER. If you look real closely at your top earners in any given business they are top earners because they have created enormous teams by helping a lot of people succeed. These teams consist of people who many times are all over the world. These global groups are made up of smaller groups that create teams that are made of like-minded individuals who attend meetings. When we attend the small/local meetings together that mindset carries over and creates a domino effect which means that as the meetings increase they will be well attended also.

3. DUPLICATION. This process is all about individuals believing that they fit within it and are capable of doing what their up-line shows them. When they attend a home meeting and see someone simply pop in a DVD and they sit and watch it with guest, a representative can see themselves doing that and are more likely to believe in themselves and continue to do it. It is important that representatives are not overwhelmed with the process and that ideas are sold not so much as a product or a kit. The idea is that they can do it and that my friend can be duplicated.

4.CLOSING. The ratio of closing increases exponentially. Due to the number of individuals that you may have in a given home meeting your organization will develop momentum quicker than if you were speaking to individuals on a one-on-one basis. Due to your up-line and other business partners being in attendance it is less likely that someone will go overlooked which in turn allows each guest to receive personal attention thus allowing you to close at a higher rate.

SUGGESTIONS TO RUNNING AN MLM MEETINGS

When you move forward with your network marketing business be confident in all that you do. Remember to move forward with assurance even if you are afraid. When you make a decision to move despite of your fears you are making a positive stand toward success. You will never know who you may sign up at your home meeting. The next top earner is waiting for YOU to invite them to your home. Personally I would be remiss if I did not say that in today’s business economy it would be short sighted not to combine the online marketing strategies with the traditional strategies which creates a true high breed or the best of both worlds. But by no means should having home meetings be relegated to an archaic notion.
